March::Spring

Finally Spring come. So here I am welcoming spring with bunch of new flowers called “Blackcurrent Smoothie”, that’s what they were named in store ๐Ÿ™‚

These flowers not only represent Spring but also our little happiness too. Vishal brought them on our 4th Anniversary of First date. yeah he remember all the dates. Ours is pure arranged marriage, we met only once before marriage and that day meant lot to us. We just met for 5-8 mins alone and everything got settled. After 2 months of engagement we finally met. I was working in Mumbai back then and went to Lucknow for my first and final wedding shopping for just three days. It was a hectic trip, all day of shopping with exponential level of anxiety going on the mind. So first two days were non-stop shopping keeping in mind that everything has to be perfect and third day was just relaxing, making out lists, giving instructions to Mom and Aunt who were taking care of my all things. Although I already informed him that I will be in the city for three days for shopping and we sent just couple of texts to each other during couple of days. I was hoping to meet him but I was not sure how he felt about it. On third day I got a text from my fiancรฉ asking if I am available to go out (duh !!).ย  So everything got planned out and we decided to see each other. My Uncle dropped me to the restaurant and there he was waiting for me with a red rose in hand and sweating in march afternoon ๐Ÿ™‚ It was such a normal date no fancy place or things but it was so important for me. We had our lunch already so we ordered just drinks, lassi for him and lemonade for me.ย  We only talked about little, unimportant things and already an hour passed away. Now it was almost time for me to go home and prepare for my flight. That one hour settled all my anxieties at certain level and assured me that I am marrying the right man. He dropped me at home and we said goodbyes. I even bought that red rose with me in Mumbai and saved it.ย  It was such sweet time we spent together and I don’t want forget it.

To our love:

Valentine’s Day

We had a sunny Valentine’s day in the park. Vishal gave me surprise by coming back from office (Tesco store) in 30 mins with beautiful Irises.

It was such a pleasant day and we decided to spent in the Park.ย  Sunny and little warm. Last night it had rained so ground was all muddy. Little one enjoyed the most.

She adore birds and there were lots of ducks grazing in the ground. We were afraid of them but she ran into them and started talking to them.

We tried to play football –

And strolled to see the lake in the park –

This year we bought perfumes for each other, a long desires of both of us finally fulfilled.ย  It was a cute day for all of us.ย  I wish everyday spent like that ๐Ÿ™‚

While listening to Coke Studio I came across this beautiful songย  – “Chup” by Zeb & Haniya. Hope you will also like it. As usual you have to click on the thumbnail to watch in Youtube.

Sky

Sky this morning –

I don’t know what it is called but I find it similar to beach sand. Looks like an ocean wave just swept away and gave the clouds such a beautiful form.

I just loved to see clouds scattered like this in the sky

Puffs of cloud high in the sky

Beautiful things floating by – oh! it’s a Jet Plane, where is it going ? Is it going up or across ?? When I was little I thought they are rockets going to moon and frankly today also when I saw them my first thought was rockets. Also I don’t know where the plane going – up or across, do you know ?

Coldplay’s The Scientist was playing on the iPod when I was clicking these pictures and it was going perfect with the situation so here the song for you as well.

PS: Puffs of Clouds high in the sky, Beautiful things floating by – these lines are from Reva’s favorite show – Show Me Show Me ๐Ÿ™‚

Last Sunday of the Year

Yesterday we had little fun.  We took a drive in our new car, although we took drive twice but it wasn’t a fun drive.  One was to the hospital for vaccination and the other one was hunt for car seat for little one. But yesterday we really had fun day. Fun really begun on Christmas evening when we suddenly came to know that we are out of diapers for Reva. Being a parent is really living in an adventure, it would have sounded me normal when someone told me that “hey I was out of diaper stock for my baby”, if I would not be a parent but day before yesterday was very much like state of national emergency. Every shop in the city is closed, celebrating Christmas and we had diaper crisis. I don’t know how I missed the stock and I don’t know how diaper had to end on that particular day but it all happened. Luckily I found 3 diapers in my diaper bag but we were not sure whether they would last for 14 hours. And soon in 20 minutes one was down. We checked some stores near us which will opened as early as possible. We suck it all up and spent the night and wake up at 6 AM (by the way no shop opened at this hour).  After making few calls  we decided to go a near by shop which would open at 10 AM and had all the desired requirements of what we need.  We later extended our plan for lunch out because who would have stamina to cook after the store visit. Since it was Boxing Day then why not check out some store. So plan was Store – Lunch – Shopping which would include car drive.

It felt so good when we reach our nearby store in less than 5 minutes. Earlier it took 30 minutes by city bus plus all the hassles of walking, carrying baby stroller, carrying heavy supplies. We reach store, rush to the baby section and pick up the diapers and officially we were done of our requirements but unofficially we had to buy some more stuffs.  After an hour we were done with the Store shopping. In the end we were damn hungry and baby was too sleepy. We headed to high street for lunch and shopping. We decided to go Nando’s for lunch, but were not sure whether the restaurant will be open or not and if it is opened then with baby we would have a messy lunch. As soon as we reach the high street we say the restaurant was opened and as we reached parking lot, baby felt asleep. We had a nice, quite and satisfactory lunch.

Setting the table and waiting for the order. I planned to take the snap of our yummy lunch but could not wait to eat it

I could write a post on Nando’s. For past couple weeks we were planning to go but yesterday it finally happened and we ate to our hearts content. Baby wake just on time. Then we headed to shopping street. Vishal specifically said that we are going to buy just one jacket for Reva and rest of the shopping will be done for ourselves. We ended with Reva’s shopping where we get a good deal on her clothing. As we reach to our store we lost the courage for any more shopping. So we decided to go back. On the way back I bought some earrings for myself, I forgot my earring box in India and for past months I had nothing on my ears so a little shopping for myself and sadly Vishal had nothing. On the way we had hot chocolate and Ginger loaf. I never tasted ginger loaf before, and it reminded me of something tasty my grandmother used to make in winters. Something with saunth (dried ginger), soup or laddoo I don’t remember. I am going to try this one for sure. Oh I forgot I tried Carrot cake on Christmas day, it was good.

Carrot Cake

I found the recipe here. I used normal sugar and no orange zest. The best thing I liked about this cake is its softness. It came out ultra soft. Less flour is used, so you get the real taste of carrots. In the last the spices, my first experience with spices in cake. Like it.

I wanted to click at least one snap of Christmas tree but the battery of our camera went dead. It was not like it went out suddenly, it was flashing for many days but we lazy people. In all we had a good day. We reached home just before the sunset and tucked the baby for nap. Meanwhile we watched Masterchef  India finale. I was quite disappointed to see the last challenge. India is known for its vast diversity of  cuisines and they ended up which French Wedding Cake competition and that to cake was looking disgusting. Cake was ready, its decoration was ready, they just need to make those balls and mount them in a shape – what yaar!!.  For me it was like stage for Akshay to promote his movies and not about food. We were happy to see both the finalist are from Lucknow and wishing Jayanandan to win but Pankaj won. Why our TV shows and movies are larger than life, why can’t they be close to reality and people. Anyways, they are going to same for next 20 years so no point on barking when I know nothing would change.

Lastly I would like to dedicate the song “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. I heard it many times but these days I am watching Glee and this song is like anthem song of the show so I am listening it over and over and loving it.

Have a nice time, Cheers.

Autumn has come

Season of bliss and mellow fruitfulness

Ripe and sun-kissed in golden happiness

Brown leaves are falling down, down, down onto the ground

This is going to be our first winter in England. Weather is quite unpredictable here, one week its cold, other week its rainy and yesterday and today it is sunny and pleasant. On saturday we went to nearby park for a stroll and I took some snaps of autumn and our little one in park trying to walk on her own.

Walk started as soon as we reach downstairs

it was on fullest when we reach at park

Reva had just walking but in a week she is doing good. We need shoes for her, we could not pur her on ground for long without shoes. She enjoyed it very much and made some friends also ๐Ÿ™‚

some bird watching

Next on the list is shoes for her.

I took the poetic lines from the Cbeebies Autumn Song:

Hello !!

Hello blog and hello to everyone. Blogging after 25 days.ย  I brought flowers for you all –

Flowers for you

These days I keep flowers on the dining table all the time as much as possible, gives me freshness.

Past days were quite hectic for me. Reva took half the credit and half goes to me.ย  But before I tell you more about our credits I want to tell you what we did and had past couple of weeks.

Tadaaaaaa

Someone turned 1-year-old on 27th August ๐Ÿ™‚ Yeah we celebrated Reva’s 1st B’Day. My baby has now graduated to a toddler and O boy she is so ultra active these days. We three were together and I was missing our families but frankly speaking I don’t like to have party chaos on Reva’s first B’day. I always wish to have a quite celebration, with only family around.ย  You see it took away the centre of atttraction from baby to guest. So as we planned we celebrated a quite b’day with homely touch ๐Ÿ™‚

Decoration

Reva is getting bigger and smarter day by day. Did I tell you that she speaks Bye and Mummy clearly ๐Ÿ™‚ Yeah !!

Did I tell you she is getting naughtier day by day –

Her favorite corner

She loves to sneak on the corners and play with cables and shake the lamps.

Checking if someone is watching her or not

The reason why I was not able to write is that she loves the laptop. She likes to bang on keyboard as if she is typing, you know she is a big copy cat. We already missing key ‘S’ and before she banged all the keys we are trying to save our laptop as much as possible. We are thinking to buy monitor and wireless keyboard mouse to set it at a desktop but I think we are too lazy for that. Who wants to go to different room and browse when one can browse on couch and watch the baby ๐Ÿ˜‰ But seriously past days was quite frustrating for me. Reva kept me so busy that I sometimes get irritated. I guess this is the part of motherhood process. I miss friends to share things and speaking heart out like I used to do before. I wish to have some friends who are on same stage as I am… I miss friends badly.

Reva’s B’Day fell on long weekend so we got a chance to see the London city. We went to see London Eye and High Street. We also got a chance to take a boat cruise on River Thames near the London Eye.

The Palace of Westminster

Big Ben is the nickname for the great bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London. Interesting isn’t it ?

Big Ben

London Eye

London Eye

I thought its a ride but it wasn’t. It took 30 mins to complete the round. It was very beautiful view from the top.

London upon Thames

Trip was fun. Weather in England is quite unpredictable. Its rainy, cold, breezy, warmer in one week. That’s it for this post and I hope to write more in coming days. Oh one thing, have seen Udaan ?? Have u listen its songs ?? O I love the movie and its songs are brilliant. Listen one of the song from Udaan –

Njoy and Take Care.
